Mike Vestergaard and his crew are amazing! In late 2004 Webster Child Care Center contracted with Mike Vestergaard and Grounds for Play, Inc. to complete our Preschool Playground. Our thought was to create an extension of the classroom and also increase the level of safety for children. Mike’s knowledge and experience helped us to create a playground that we are very proud of and the children love! 

We were so impressed by the tremendous work ethic of the entire crew! They were constantly working from sun up to sun down. We found Mike not only to be extremely thorough in his work, but very knowledgeable of playground and NAEYC accreditation standards. Even when I requested something be placed differently, Mike explained the rationale and requirements for the way the equipment was positioned or installed.

Mike and his crew were extremely friendly and entertained several outdoor “fieldtrips” for the children…explaining what was happening and allowing the “bobcat” to pose for several pictures! You could easily tell that building playgrounds and interacting with children was their specialty.

We enjoyed the experience so much that we had our two-year old playground renovated in 2005!

I hope we have the opportunity to contract with Mike Vestergaard in the future. I would be happy to serve as a reference for anyone interested in contracting his company’s services.
